Society of Mind - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "What magical trick makes us intelligent? The trick is that there is no trick. The power of intelligence stems from our vast diversity, not from any single, perfect principle."

Quantum brain dynamics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "quantum brain dynamics (QBD) is a proposed theory to explain the function of the brain with quantum mechanics. Although there are many blank areas in understanding the brain dynamics and especially how it gives rise to conscious experience it should be noted that quantum mechanics is only believed to be capable of explaining the enigma of consciousness and currently there is no experimental verification. Following Popperian criterion for demarcation between science and pseudoscience QBD seems dangerously close to pseudoscience if there were not the testable prediction for consciousness linked to picosecond protein dynamics.

Jibu & Yasue (1995) were the first researchers that tried to popularize the quantum field theory of Nambu-Goldstone bosons as one and only reliable quantum theory of fundamental macroscopic dynamics realized in the brain with which a deeper understanding of consciousness can be obtained."

Book review of Kunio Yasue: "Consciousness could arise from the interaction between the electromagnetic field and molecular fields of water and protein. Furthermore, Yasue maintains that the evolution of the neural wave function is not random, as would result from the traditional quantum theories, but optimized under a principle of 'least neural action'. Random effects of consciousness are replaced by a 'cybernetic' consciousness which is more in the tradition of the self as a free-willing agent.
