Tampa Collaborators

Editor User Interface

The interface of the mind map editor basically can be divided into four parts. The top bar (1, 2), the edit menu (3), the properties menu (4) and the status bar (5).

  1. 1
This is the mind map dropdown. Here you'll find the dialogs to export and publish your mind map, and to set up collaborations.
  2. 2
This is the user dropdown. From here you can access your account settings, sign out, or go back to your list of mind maps (which by the way you can also access by simply clicking the Mind42 logo on the left).
  3. 3
The edit menu is a toolbar which holds actions that affect the whole mind map. You can create and delete nodes, undo and redo your work, cut copy and paste selected nodes. Finally you can influence the view of the mind map by collapsing, centering and zooming the map. Some actions only work when a node is selected.

The button to the right reveals the birdview. A small thumbnail of the structure of the map, and an indicator which part of the map you are seeing right now. Especially in bigger maps this little widget can be a valuable tool to quickly navigate your mind map.
  4. 4
While the edit menu contained actions affecting the map as a whole, the properties menu to the left is only active when a node is selected and (as the name indicates) allows to modify the properties of a node. From top to bottom it allows you to edit the nodes note, todos, links, image, icons and style. If no node is selected these buttons are disabled, but when a node is selected they will activate and be dark gray by default. If the selected node has a property set though, the corresponding button will light up blue. Generally: By clicking one of the buttons, a popup will appear in which you can edit the property.
  5. 5
The status bar holds various informations about the current status of the map. In the bottom left you'll find statistics about your mind map in case it is published (number of views, comments and likes). In the bottom right the publishing and collaboration status are shown. This means that if the mind map is publsihed, a published icon will show up, and when the mind map is set up for collaboration a collaboration icon will show up. If other collaborators are online at the same time, it will also show the names of the online collaborators. To the right you'll see the server status. Usually this will just be a blue cloud with a checkmark in it. However, when you have problems with your connection to the Mind42 server it will turn into a crossed out gray cloud. Usually we will warn you if this happens, before you risk losing too much work.

I've created a Mindmap you can open and edit now. .
and it's live on this blog

best Governor in Florida ever!

Students Taking an Active Role in Society - Yahoo Groups: I highly recommend that Mayor Buckhorn join the Mayors National Climate Action Agenda! I believe Mayor Buckhorn could be the best Governor Florida has ever had. Since our current governor is clueless on this topic, the Mayor could help get this region and state moving in the right direction. For example, demanding the $9 Billion for I-275 FDOT Express Lanes is used on the train the Governor messed up, would be a brilliant move in the right direction for all of us!

The American Machine ==> PASS THIS ON!

What’s funny about this attached PDF, is that I have seen many of these studies.  Like the one published in France about the rats.  Monsanto sued them the next day, and when they would not retract the article.  Monsanto BOUGHT OUT the publisher and pulled the article anyway.  Like the DARK act in USA on labels where Monsanto did the same thing in India but was kicked out!  (forget FOX news, read some real science as this links to all the details:  http://scholarcommons.usf.edu/subsust/vol3/iss1/2/)

Why would a company go to such lengths?  ITS FREE MONEY!  Well first it’s the Patented Seeds, which mean every farmer pays them a profit and then all have to buy pesticides too.  Monsanto collects the discarded waste from the oil refineries and sells it at a premium.  Then steals cash from all the farmers as well, because their patent markers transfer to everything so fast.  No matter what you farm, they get paid for your work and labor and never do anything but collect money!

I’m sure Monsanto owns the big Pharma that sells the Band-Aids for this too.  But, just wait, the baby-boomers kids are hitting 50 and they’ll start dropping like flies . . . First they’ll need glasses, then antacids, then countless other drugs . . . diabetes, Alzheimer’s, cancer!!  All because they never had a real garden, or always lived off Monsanto processed crap that accumulates in their bodies!

The American Machine, cash growing everywhere for them, instant profits stealing from everyone, with little or no really effort!  Isn’t capitalism great!!!  (see attached PDF:)

The research does not end there, however. Amazingly, there is evidence to suggest that GMOs are actually able to transfer into your body through a gene transfer. Research indicates that the gene sequences inserted into GMOs are capable of transferring into the host gut bacteria through horizontal gene transfer. In essence, the study shows that you literally are what you eat. This basically means that the consumption of genetically modified food can alter the genetic makeup of the bacteria within our bodies that is the foundation for our health. If the BT toxin gene (or even the antibiotic-resistance gene commonly used in food staples such as corn and soy) transfer into gut bacteria, they could be turned into a pesticide-producing factory. There is also the possibility that the now genetically modified transmogrified gut bacteria can transfer their genes to the epithelial tissue lining our intestines, which is a recipe for disaster. What these findings really show is that we truly are biologically compromised from what we eat. If you are consuming genetically altered food products, your biology can seriously be compromised.
