Let's go on a bike ride:

Reclaiming the Narrative of Black Fatherhood - RWJF

Reclaiming the Narrative of Black Fatherhood

I recognize that I am blessed to be able to find balance. Many obstacles prevent fathers from being fully present in their family's day. Because of the environment I grew up in, I intimately understand the forces holding people back. I’m referring not just to a culture that only encourages men to pursue a very narrow set of traditionally masculine career paths, but also systems that make it difficult for men to take time off when they have a new baby or a sick parent. There is no question that policymakers can do more to break down those barriers with reforms like paid family leave.

My dad was great showing me so much about this!
I am so grateful . . . my big take away:
  1. always pray for guidance!
  2. bring kids t o church!
  3. save all the time you can to be with your kids
    1. yes, I would eat, read, work and play with them as much as possible
    2. make everything into a learning game,
      1. let's do dishes, laundry, clean TOGETHER!
    3. navigate these evolving dynamics to grow with them!
  4. always listen TO THEM first!
  5. paraphrase and "what do you think?" before offering answers!
  6. never spank!  Discipline can be more chores, or less fun

STAMPED POSTAGE DATE retains your ownership

Yes everyone needs to MAIL their original seeds to themselves. . . THE SEALED PACK WITH THE STAMPED POSTAGE DATE retains your ownership. Packed in a SEALED postal package with all edges and seemed seals stamped with the DATED postage code at the post office. . . LOCK mailed package into a safety deposit box. . . ONLY allow the JUDGE in court to open the package to do INDEPENDENT DNA tests your original seeds (supervise, witness, and videotape all testing from opening of the package throughout).  NO GMO now, means your seeds can be protected as "your property" . . . . all "purchased" seeds from industry have been contaminated with GMO markers to enable patent restrictions.

Million Belay Ali to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)
Thank you to everyone. My name is Million Belay, and I am the General Coordinator of AFSA.

I have to leave, but here are my three main takeaways.

1- It gives me great pleasure to hear our American and African brothers conversing on something which is central to our life, seeds. We need to look into how we can work more strategically in the future. AFSA will promise organize a specific and deliberate discussion to move this conversation forward.
Million Belay Ali to Panelists and Attendees (11:38 AM)
2- I believe that we must challenge the dominant narrative that is driving and influencing the appropriation of African seeds. The dominant narrative says our seeds are exhausted, unproductive, and unable to feed the world's growing population. This is the motivation behind the appropriation of seeds through legislation and regulations. This is something we must combat. The most effective way to combat this is to promote our narrative that, yes, our seeds may require enhancement, and that we can accomplish this with our farmers working on an equal footing with conventional researchers.
3- We need to include the next generation in this discussion as well. We should do this through the use of art and celebration.

Congratulation every one, especially those who made this possible.

juuf ngel to Panelists and Attendees (11:28 AM)
In ancestral cultures forged in the prism of ecological engineering, it is noted that it is the seed that came to humans and not the other way around, to tell them: "Here is your food, take me!» And the human has done so ever since to enrich the seed out of devotion to Mother Earth. The link between the seed and the human is sacred and only a subculture focused solely on profit ignores its cosmological significance.

Farmers in Africa and Asia have much to offer their colleagues in industrialized countries whose high technology and robot have cut them off from Mother Nature. Restore the link with Nature; otherwise, the human soul is lost in an existential void. The peasant seed makes it possible to achieve the quantum leap that reconciles humans to their cosmic placenta whose umbilical cord has been cut by arbitrary gene forcing!

Protect against Alzheimer’s by Decalcifying Your Pineal Gland

Expand Your Awareness while Protecting against Alzheimer’s by Decalcifying Your Pineal Gland – Snooze 2 Awaken

Pineal gland calcification is now found in two-thirds of the adult population.[1] While related to neurological injury and innate repair processes, its exact causes in each individual case are complex and mostly unknown. However, one likely culprit is fluoride exposure. [See: Fluoride: Calcifier of the Soul.]

One of the primary functions of the pineal gland is to secrete melatonin, a powerful sleep regulatory hormone and antioxidant, known to be protect against over 100 health conditions, including various lethal cancers.  A recent study found that the degree of pineal gland calcification (and pineal cyst volume) in study participants correlated negatively with sleep rhythm disturbances; also, the less calcified their pineal glands were found to be the more melatonin was found in their saliva.[2]

Alzheimer’s disease patients are commonly deficient in melatonin levels, likely due to the inability of their pineal gland to produce adequate quantities.[3] [4] Indeed, Alzheimer’s patients have been found to have a higher degree of pineal gland calcification than patients with other types of dementia,[5] and sleep disturbances have been identified as a primary driver of Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis,[6] due to the fact that wakefulness increases the the toxic Alzheimer’s disease associated brain protein—amyloid-β (Aβ)—and sleep reduces Aβ.  Melatonin has also been identified to inhibit the progression of Aβ brain pathology as well as the formation of Aβ protein itself.[7]

Alzheimer’s disease do not occur in a vacuum but reflect the overarching context of our bodily, psychological and environmental health as a whole. Simply adjusting brain metabolism from insulin-dependent glucose driven metabolism to a more fat based diet, could dramatically improve neurological health, and subsequently cognition and memory, as evidenced by dramatic improvements using simple interventions like coconut oil for Alzheimer’s disease patients.  Simple evidence-based, relatively non-toxic interventions using spices like turmeric have also shown great promise in preliminary case studies.

7 Ways To Prevent and Even Reverse Heart Disease With Nutrition

7 Ways To Prevent and Even Reverse Heart Disease With Nutrition

Considering that heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the developed world, anything that can prevent cardiac mortality, or slow or even reverse the cardiovascular disease process, should be of great interest to the general public.

Sadly, millions of folks are unaware of the extensive body of biomedical literature that exists supporting the use of natural compounds for preventing and even reversing heart disease.

Instead, they spend billions buying highly toxic cholesterol-lowering pharmaceuticals with known cardiotoxicity, among 300 other proven side effects, simply because their doctor told them to do so.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids: There is a robust body of research indicating that the risk of sudden cardiac death is reduced when consuming higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

Vitamin D: Levels of this essential compound have been found to be directly associated with the risk of dying from all causes.

Magnesium: In a world gone mad over taking inorganic calcium supplementation for invented diseases such as T-score defined “osteopenia” or “osteoporosis,” despite their well-known association with increased risk of cardiac mortality, magnesium’s role in protecting against heart disease cannot be overstressed. It is well-known that even the accelerated aging of the heart muscle experienced by those in long space flight is due to magnesium deficiency

Four Natural Compounds Which May Unclog the Arteries

Pomegranate: this remarkable fruit has been found in a human clinical study to reverse the carotid artery thickness (i.e. blockage) by up to 29% within 1 year. [ix] There are a broad range of mechanisms that have been identified which may be responsible for this effect, including: 1) lowering blood pressure 2) fighting infection (plaque in arteries often contains bacteria and viruses) 3) preventing cholesterol oxidation 4) reducing inflammation.[x]

Arginine: Preclinical and clinical research indicates that this amino acid not only prevents the progression of atherosclerosis but also reverses pathologies associated with the process. (see also: Clogged Arteries and Arginine). One of the mechanisms in which it accomplishes this feat is by increasing the production of nitric oxide which is normally depressed in blood vessels where the inner lining has been damaged (endothelium) resulting in dysfunction.

Garlic: Not only has garlic been found to reduce a multitude of risk factors associated with arteriosclerosis, the thickening and hardening of the arteries, but it also significantly reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.[xi] In vitro research has confirmed that garlic inhibits arteriosclerotic plaque formation.[xii] Aged garlic extract has also been studied to inhibit the progression of coronary artery calcification in patients receiving statin therapy.[xiii]

B-Complex: One of the few vitamin categories that has been confirmed in human studies to not only reduce the progression of plaque buildup in the arteries but actually reverse it is B-complex. A 2009 study published in the journal Stroke found that high dose B-complex vitamin supplementation significantly reduces the progression of early-stage subclinical atherosclerosis in healthy individuals.[xiv]
